Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you, He will not fail you or forsake you". Deuteronomy 31:6
The Hebrew word for fail is raphah. This word has many meanings in the Old Testament. It can mean to let go, to let drop or to sink down, to abandon, to let alone. In other places it is translated as idle or slacken or dishearten, to faint in the day of adversity.
I love this.
God promises not to let go of us or allow us to sink, to abandon us or leave us alone. He is not idle and He is very present in our day of adversity.
Yes…this is your day to be courageous. This is your day to make progress on places of trouble, suffering and responsibility. (Habakkuk 3:19 AMP) This is your day to take bold steps. This is your day to take a deep breath and confidently take the next step on your journey. But the great thing is…YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!
Your God will NOT fail you. Ever.
He is there in our moments of challenge and adversity and He will not fail or forsake us. With His strength to back us, we can be courageous. All we have to do is take the first step, our success does not depend on our ability, but on the presence of the King of the Angel-Armies.
Sometimes people think that the sign of God’s blessing is a life with no challenges. I don’t think so. I think that could mean we are not courageously taking steps and getting involved in the life He is leading us in.
We are certainly free to sit behind our ‘white-picket fence’, relishing in our comfortable life, or we can get out of the boat, take some risks trusting that our God will never fail us. The promise is that He will be with us as we go.
Esther could have kept her mouth shut.
Ruth could have stayed in Moab.
Deborah could have decided not to join the battle.
Mother Teresa could have continued her comfortable life in Albania.
Jim Elliot did not have to be a part of the mission to reach the Waodani people.
David could have kept the stones in his pocket.
Noah did not have to build an ark.
Moses could have stayed in the backside of the desert.
Accepting the challenge and obeying the leading of our God is always a choice.
All I know is that my life would be safe and boring if I had not stepped into the adventure God had for me.
And I know that, regardless of whatever challenge comes, He will not fail or abandon me.
What a promise!!

Through every trial and challenge, unexpected twists and turns, mountains and desserts when I have plopped to the floor with not one word left to pray out loud or deep inside. I can hardly breath his name at the thought of his magnificiance, love, wonder and promises...so I drink...and remember the road of His faithful servants years past and today, so I raise my hands to praise Him inspite of my weaknesses. In my weakness He gives me strength.
Thanks for your faithfulness in spreading the Love of Jesus Holly, Your encouragement to myself and many, many others I'm sure is also a constant reminder to stay on the path, press forward in the battle, stay in my lane and never give up. You are a constant reminder that we are to conquer and then possess in the name of Jesus. That's all then.. I am proud to share a part of my life's journey knowing and being led by you...Holly.. a mighty woman of God!!!! See Ya Saturday night Feb 25, 2012. "Godchicks Night of Amigas!!!!!

Your words of encouragement, books and CD's just seem to come and inspire at the right time. Words like this one in regards to God never forsaking us is one we need reminding about over and over again. There are continually big situations to face in life. Right now my one is a cancer one and your story has been and is my inspiration. Keep on holding up the flag, as women of faith we will march behind you and also hold of up the flag for others behind us. Love your work.
